6 Months

I know, she's amazing. I took her yesterday to Kiddie Kandids to get these shots, and although really impressed with the camera crew (they stop at nothing short of back flips to get the kids to smile) I was EXHAUSTED by the time I got out of there. It took THREE HOURS, folks. Actual picture-taking time was about 15 minutes, and the rest was WAITING. They're pretty cute, although not my really style. I don't know why, but I didn't feel like telling him how I really feel about putting Josie into a hat box with feather boas. In fact, my temporary attitude was more like "Yeah! The more the merrier! Sure! Throw in a teddy bear with beads! Why not?!"

So in addition to dazzling everyone with her happy smile, Josie is also saying "Mamamamam," "Dadadada," and my favorite "blah blah blah blah." So, in a nut shell, she knows the basic essentials of communication.

FYI: I have many many crafting treasures to show, but our camera cord has been misplaced temporarily. So, stay tuned.

we have a card reader too. And Josie looks SO adorable, I can't even handle it. I've had so many people rave to me about Kiddie Kandids, I definitely think I'll try them next time (esp if I can get my hands on one of those referrals). Plus I've heard something about them having a birthday club...thats pretty awesome. Congrats on being so strong in the face of so many cute options!

i stared at the photo and then your first line just summed it up. she IS amazing. she is really taking shape. by that i mean that she is really starting to look like someone. does that make sense? i mean it in the nicest possible way, of course. she is totally adorable. and i can't friggin wait to see your craft projects. i am back in home decorating zone again and am dying to do some more stuff with my house. go ahead, wow me.

I know EXACTLY what you mean, Marth. It's like she's finally starting to look like herself. I still think that she has a lot of Allan's features, but I think that when she smiles, it's all me. She's got the beamiest face.

First off, HAPPY 6 MONTHS to the lit'l bebe!

SO SO SOOOOOO dazzling! I love the pictures, but I totally get what you say about "not your style". Still, that girl could make ANY feather boa look good..so it probably doesn't much matter.

Can't wait to see the newest projects to spring from those crafty fingers! I tune in regularly, don't keep me hanging!

p.s. your stockings and ornaments are AMAZING! Dang, I need to comment more, but I read EVERYTHING!

Miriam,

I don't know if you remember me but we were in the same ward for a bit at BYU-Idaho. Lacey sent me to your blog and I absolutly love reading it and seeing all the fun stuff you are doing. It is good to see what old friends are up to. And I just have to say your little girl is so tender.

Mim, I am in love with these pictures. She looks so adorable. I can't believe it has been 6 months. She is just the prettiest baby ever. We miss you guys. Lets do something soon, for sure before Christmas.

Sorry if my comment sounded rude. I meant if you want to use our card reader, we can bring it to Granny's if you remind me. I'm excited to see your crafts, and by using a card reader, I could see them. And I also forgot to say that Josie looks sooo cute!! I'm sure kiddie kandid is just busy because of Christmas. It wasn't crowded when we went (course, we went right when it opened in the morning). I can't wait to take Christopher back for his free birthday picture.

WOW! Could her smile be ANY bigger? So is so cute, and coming from the mother of a Riley boy, I must say you're pretty lucky to have a child who cooperates for the photo shoots.
Sorry it was such a long-winded ordeal though. Those places always suck you in.
